Sweeps ride at the back of every middle or high school mountain bike race category and tend to any issues that may arise on the course with student-athletes in their assigned category. Sweeps must stay with the last racer in their category. A sweep provides support and coverage for the entire course, including knowing where the last rider in the category is at all times. The goal is to maintain neutrality during the race and not affect the natural outcome while providing a safe and encouraging atmosphere.

Follow junior mountain bikers (ages 8-13) around a mountain bike trail during their race. My main objective is to make sure everyone finishes safely and encourage them along the way.
